The Taza Gallery and Coffee House

Located in the Adams County Government Center, the Gallery at Taza Coffee House features rotating exhibitions from emerging and established artists. Current Exhibition: The Middle of Knowing

by Tricia Waddell

Textile artist Tricia Waddell’s exhibition explores personal narratives and fragments of memory about the ways we struggle to express our deepest needs in the messy middle of relationship and challenging life changes. She combines hand-dyed and painted cloth, fiber, and mixed-media elements, along with original photography to create “psychological maps” and soft sculptures that tell intimate stories of unspoken emotions, vulnerability, and empathy. Her work explores the evocative nature of fabric objects and the ability of plush surfaces to absorb and extrude materials to represent internal struggle, hope, and connection.

View The Middle of Knowing starting April 15.
