Dust to Apples: The Colors of the Eastern Plains

Paintings by Melody Epperson
Photography by Jimena Peck

Exhibition Date: Winter 2025-26
In what ways have we lost our connection to the earth, and how do we rebuild it? What does it mean to “work the land”? Artist Melody Epperson sought those answers for two years, exploring the farmlands of eastern Adams County and the people who tend to them.

Jimena Peck accompanied Melody Epperson to capture the beauty of the Eastern Plains, and Melody’s process, through photography. Both Melody and Jimena’s work were shown at Taza Gallery and Coffee House as part of the exhibition.
