Ongoing Artist Opportunities

Adams County Parks, Open Space & Cultural Arts engages artists in many aspects of our work. From rotating galleries, to event pop-ups and art integration, our goal is to put art front and center in the lives of Adams County residents.

If you are an artist interested in getting involved with Adams County, whether it be showcasing your work at Taza Gallery and Coffee House, popping up at a community event, or another of the many ways to engage the residents of Adams County, you’ve come to the right place! Calls for Entry

Adams County is committed to bringing public art to every corner of our county. Large-scale installations like murals, sculptures, mosaics, and more are large-scale projects selected through a call for entry process where artists are invited to submit applications for the opportunity to show their work across Adams County.

Taza Gallery and Coffee House

Taza Gallery and Coffee House, located in the Adams County Government Center, features rotating exhibitions from emerging and established artists. Four curated shows per year explore different perspectives and provide opportunities for Adams County residents to experience the arts in an unexpected space.

In addition to four large-scale community events held each year at Riverdale Regional Park, the Adams County Cultural Arts team brings artists to neighborhood, town, and community festivals across Adams County. We are always looking for artists who bring thought-provoking, engaging, and vibrant artwork to Adams County residents. If you are interested in sharing your art practice with Adams County’s Cultural Arts staff, please submit the form below.     Artist Selection Panels

    Shape the arts in your community: Consider joining a project-specific artist selection panel! Artist Selection Panel members play a critical role in the public art process by helping identify thought-provoking artists who speak to a place, represent our diverse communities, add vitality to Adams County’s vast environments, and enrich and diversify the county’s art collection.

    Arts & Culture Commission

    The Adams County Arts & Culture Commission acts as an advisory board to the county’s arts and culture initiative to place public art in county facilities as part of the Percentage for the Arts Program. Members of the commission generously volunteer their time to help create unique experiences that celebrate the residents of Adams County.

    Adams County Cultural Council

    The Adams County Cultural Council recommends SCFD funding to the Tier III organizations that serve Adams County. In 2025, more than $2.6 million was distributed to 91 organizations.
