Gov. Polis Orders Flags Lowered to Honor Former Vice President

DENVER – On Tuesday, November 4, 2025, following the lowering of flags by the White House in honor of former U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney, who passed away on November 3, 2025, Colorado Governor Jared Polis ordered flags be lowered to half-staff on all public buildings from now until sunset on the day of interment to honor the passing of the former Vice President, in accordance with U.S. flag code.

Per past practice, the flags shall be lowered to half-staff until sunset on the date of interment, which has not yet been announced.
