Fall 2026 Grant Cycle Timeline
(Timelines are subject to change)
- July and August– Applicant Appointments
If you would like to apply for a grant and review your project with Open Space staff, email rareichow@adamscountyco.gov or call Rae-Anne at 303.637.8102 to schedule a time. - Friday, June 12 – Deadline to request sponsorship from Adams County.
- Monday, June 29 – Grant application(s) become available on the Adams County website.
- Friday, August 14 – Deadline to submit grant applications(s) online by 4:30 p.m.
- Monday, August 17 through Friday, August 28 – Staff reviews applications.
- Friday, September 11 – Deadline for the following:
- For Full grant requests:
Applicants submit a five-minute video presentation from the project site. The video is shared with OSAB to view prior to the presentation meeting. - Project presentation(s) in PowerPoint format for the OSAB Grant Presentation Meeting. Applicants will present a five-minute presentation at the Presentation meeting. Please do not use videos in PowerPoint presentations.
*Do not include dollar amounts in PowerPoint or videos!*For Mini Grant Requests:
MINI GRANTS APPLICATIONS REQUIRE A SITE VIDEO OR A POWERPOINT. - Applicants can choose to submit either a PowerPoint or a video. Submissions will be shared with the OSAB prior to the presentation meeting. Presentations for mini grants are not required. If time allows, presentations may be permitted.
- Funding for Mini Grants is limited to 2 percent of the total available funds. If requests exceed 2 percent of the total available funds, the OSAB will score mini grants.
- Please email PowerPoint presentations to Rae-Anne Reichow at
rareichow@adamscountyco.gov. - Site videos can be uploaded to YouTube. Please email the link to Rae-Anne.*Do not include dollar amounts in PowerPoint or videos!*

Presentations and site videos are not scored. - Project location, project timeline, community need, and project support, the use of sustainable materials, energy and water efficiency, conservation of open space, and inclusivity of projects for people of all abilities.

- Monday, September 14 – Staff provides redacted applications to OSAB.
- Wednesday, September 30 – OSAB Presentation Meeting
Applicants present projects to the OSAB. Presentations are limited to five minutes per application and are for informational purposes only; presentations are not scored. The OSAB is given five minutes per application to ask the applicant questions. Public Comment period follows presentations. Presentations are not required for Mini Grants.

- Thursday, September 24 through Wednesday, September 30 – OSAB submits questions regarding projects to Open Space staff.
- Thursday, October 1 – Open Space staff forward the questions to applicants.
- Tuesday, October 6 – Deadline for Applicants to send responses to Open Space staff. Open Space staff forwards responses to OSAB.
- Tuesday, October 13 – Deadline for OSAB to submit scores to staff.
- Wednesday, October 28 – OSAB Recommendation Meeting
Applicants are given time to address any questions posed by the OSAB. OSAB makes final recommendations for funding.
