Improvements at Riverdale Regional Park

Starting in October 2026 and continuing through the spring of 2027, areas of Riverdale Regional Park and its facilities will be closed for improvements. Areas affected will included: Portions of the Waymire Dome, Park Boulevard, and the park.

These improvements are part of Adams County’s 2030 Sustainability Plan initiatives and efforts to comply with Colorado’s building benchmarking and performance standards. Riverdale Regional Park connects to the South Platte River Trail, providing access to amenities like rentable pavilions, cornhole sets, disc golf, and volleyball courts that offer fun for the whole family. Path to Wellness

The Path to Wellness, located within Riverdale Regional Park, is tucked along the South Platte River Trail and Mann-Nyholt Lake, providing a place of quiet contemplation and healing. The Path to Wellness features native plantings for the eyes and nose, paved walking paths, a labyrinth for quiet meditation, interpretive signage, and nature views. Prominently featured within the Path to Wellness is Including Others in Self, a set of large satellite discs created by local artist Laura Shill during the COVID pandemic. Large satellite discs were used during World War 1 to hear enemies approaching, but when these discs are faced towards each other, you can hear the voice of someone 30-feet away, wrapping around you like a blanket.
