Pecos Street Sculpture Series
Pecos Street in southwest Adams County is a gateway between Adams County and north Denver, a busy transportation corridor, and home to many families and small businesses. As part of the Adams County Public Works Pecos Street Widening Project, a urban/industrial series of median sculptures are to be installed as the final phase of the project. The sculpture series will spread across five medians along Pecos Street, from W. 52nd to W. 56th Avenues and was awarded to artist David Ocelotl Garcia.
The project was awarded in July 2026 with an expected completion date of Fall 2028.
About David Ocelotl Garcia
Colorado-based artist David Ocelotl Garcia is an accomplished artist working across several mediums including painting, sculpture, and murals. His work can be seen in national and international public art commissions and both museum and private collections. David has developed his own technique and philosophy on painting and sculpture coined “Abstract Imaginism.” Abstract Imaginism is a style of art that combines the spontaneity and unpredictability of abstraction with the creativity and perception of his imagination. About the Percentage for the Arts Program
