Call for Event Artists: Festival Latino

Adams County seeks artists for sculptural installations and collaborative arts experiences at Adams County Festival Latino 2026.

About Adams County Festival Latino

Festival Latino is a free, family-friendly celebration of the rich culture and vibrancy of Latino heritage. In addition to live music, food, and vendors, we work with world-class visual artists to enhance the event, foster conversation, and deepen community connections with Latino heritage.

Location: Riverdale Regional Park, 9755 Henderson Rd, Brighton, CO 80601
Event Date: Sunday, Sept. 13, 2026
Event Time: Noon-6 p.m. Artists must be available in advance and post-event for installation and tear-down.
Attendees: Approximately 12,000 visitors of all ages

Art Activation Opportunities:

  • Exterior 3D sculpture installations
  • Collaborative, community-artmaking led by professional artists
  • Performance-based pieces.
  • Other art activation ideas are encouraged

Application Details:

  • Application Deadline: To be considered for Adams County Festival Latino 2026, please apply by March 15, 2026 at 11:59 p.m.
  • Artist Stipend: Up to $10,000. Stipends vary based on materials, size, type of engagement, installations costs, etc. Artists are encouraged to submit ideas at various budget levels.
  • Project Proposal Required: Proposals should outline ideas for installing existing work, new commissions, and/or interactive art experiences.

Proposals Must Include:

  • Artist/artist team bio
  • Brief description of artwork or interactive concept.
    • Connection to event theme, audience, and/or Adams County.
    • Visuals of existing work and/or concept sketches.
    • Where artwork can be installed – grass, asphalt, connected to a tree, fence, or light pole, etc.
    • Proposed artwork dimensions, materials, and installation method.
  • Budget, including all costs associated with project, such as:
  • Artist Fee, Materials, Fabrication, Transportation, Installation, Equipment & Machinery, Team/Subcontractors, and Insurance.
  • All artworks and interactives must be fully executed by artist and team, fully installed 90 minutes before the event, and de-installed directly after the event.
  • Interactive art experiences must be staffed by artist and team for the entire duration of the event.
  • County employees and machinery/equipment are not available to assist with fabrication, transportation, or installation of artworks.

  • Apr. 2: Finalists Notified
  • Apr. 2 – 16: Finalist proposal development
  • Apr. 23: Selected artists notified
  • Apr. 23 – May 30: Contracting & site visits
  • May 30 – Sept. 8: Project Development and Fabrication
  • Sept. 8 – 13: Installation
