Wayfinding Signage Project

Trails Signage Project

Project Overview

The Adams County Parks, Open Space & Cultural Arts Department is enhancing its trail system by adding wayfinding signage to all county-maintained trails. These new, easily identifiable signs, allow trail users to navigate the regional trail system with ease and enhance the safety of users by providing precise location information along the route. The signage project will be completed in phases, with the initial installation phase scheduled to be completed by the end of 2025.

The improved trail signage will include distance markers for each half mile traveled, directional arrows pointing to nearby parks, trails, and RTD stations. Signage will be color coded with each trail being represented by a unique color for easy identification by users and emergency personnel.

Riverdale Regional Park Wayfinding Signage

Project Overview

Riverdale Regional Park is a hub for nature and outdoor recreation in Adams County. Riverdale Regional Park is home to many park paths, disc golf, fishing opportunities, public art, the Adams County Veterans Memorial, the Path to Wellness, the Adams County Fairgrounds, the Parks, Open Space & Cultural Arts administration offices, and more.

The Adams County Parks, Open Space & Cultural Arts department is focused on enhancing the wayfinding signage within it parks, open space, and trails system, with the next phase of the project focusing on signage within Riverdale Regional Park. The regional park’s connectedness to the county’s trail system, via the South Platte River Trail, provides trail users a unique opportunity to take advantage of the countless amenities provided within Riverdale Regional Park.

Wayfinding signage will be installed, in coordination with the improvements underway on the Brantner Gulch and the fairgrounds midway and barns, to direct park users to buildings, park amenities, parking, offices, and will direct both pedestrian and vehicular traffic within the park.
