Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP)

Beginning October 1st, 2024, the Adams County Child Care Assistance Program is on an enrollment freeze. Applicants will be screened for eligibility and prioritization, which will be implemented once the enrollment freeze has lifted, and space becomes available.
Current CCAP families will remain on the program, provided that they continue to meet eligibility criteria and complete their annual recertification’s. Exceptions will be made for eligible child welfare or Colorado Works (Temporary Aid and Needy Families) participants.

What is the process:
- Applicants apply for CCAP.
- Applicants are screened for eligibility.
- Applicants will receive notification via email if approved, denied or if more information is required to determine their eligibility.
- Eligible households will be placed on an enrollment freeze waitlist that will be used for prioritization when the enrollment freeze ends, and space becomes available.
- Eligible households will be required to complete a recertification process every six months to verify their eligibility and their intention to remain on the enrollment freeze waitlist. Enrollment freeze recertifications will be sent via email.
- Once the enrollment freeze has been lifted, and space becomes available, eligible households meeting prioritization requirements will be notified via email regarding availability to apply for the benefit.

Supporting Families in Adams County
The Colorado Child Care Assistance Program (CCCAP) provides childcare assistance to families needing childcare services to support their efforts toward self-sufficiency. CCCAP provides families access to reduced-cost child care at licensed childcare facilities or qualified (unlicensed) providers. Families must meet income guidelines. Benefits are available for children under the age of thirteen (13). Families can apply online, by mail, or by contacting your county’s Department of Human Services.
We are located at 11860 Pecos in Westminster and our hours are 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m. If you have any questions, reach out.
Who’s Eligible for CCAP
- Parents who are working
- Parents who are searching for a job (within state-established time limits)
- Teen parents (up to age 21) in a high school or GED program
- Parents needing child care for post-secondary education or training (up to a first Bachelor’s Degree or less)
- GED, ESL, or Adult Basic Education
- Families receiving Colorado Works/TANF
- Applicants must be residents of Adams County
- If applicable, parents are encouraged to cooperate and/or continue to cooperate with Child Support Services for the children requesting care.
