Calling all Adams County residents! The Adams County Elections Department would like to have new, custom “I Voted” and “Yo voté” stickers for the upcoming 2026 elections, and we need your help!

If you like to draw or are an aspiring graphic designer, this contest is for you. We’re accepting both hand-drawn and digital submissions.

This design contest is open to residents and students who either live in or attend school in Adams County. It’s also open to students whose parent(s) work for Adams County.

Rules

  • Entrants must keep their original artwork and/or design files.
  • Submissions must be the correct shape/size (or able to scale down to the correct size)—a two-inch circle.
  • Entrants must submit two versions of their artwork, one in English that says “I Voted” and one in Spanish that says “Yo voté”. Submissions can also be background drawing/design only, and our designers will add the English and Spanish text.
  • Submissions must be non-partisan.
  • Submissions must include elements representative of Adams County, elections, and/or patriotism.
  • Entrants and/or parents must be willing to allow us to use the artwork for upcoming elections.
  • The contest is open to Adams County students who either live in or go to school in the county, as well as adults who live in the county. Students who have a parent(s) who works for the county are also eligible to participate.
  • Entrants must fill out and sign the submission form (must be signed by a parent or guardian if the entrant is under 18).
  • Entries must include a short description of the design, as well as information on the inspiration for the design.

Considerations

  • When designing or drawing an entry, keep in mind the actual sticker size, 2″ x 2″ — see the template PDF for actual size.
  • Entrants may be asked to adjust items in their design for clarity and legibility or to meet crop mark and/or bleed requirements.
  • Ensure digital designs include a 1/8″ bleed. For hand-drawn submissions, follow the instructions on the template and check out the sticker design sizing guidelines to ensure bleed requirements are met.
  • If preferred, entrants can submit a background drawing/design only, and the “I Voted” and “Yo voté” text can be added by our designers later.

How to Enter

  • Artwork can be hand-drawn (using this template) or created in Adobe PhotoShop, InDesign, or Illustrator. If creating a digital entry, the final design must meet these requirements:
    • Be actual size of shape or scaled larger (2″ x 2″)
    • Be 300 dpi resolution or higher
    • Be in CMYK color
    • Be saved so you can later export with crop and bleed marks and color information
    • Have at least a 1/4” bleed
    • Save all links with files or package design files
    • Only include artwork you created or own the rights to
  • If using another file software or program, designs must meet the same requirements as above.
  • Download and print the template.
  • Fill out and sign the submission form(PDF document) (signed by a parent if under 18)
  • Email the signed submission form; a description of your design and a paragraph about the design’s inspiration; and a scan, picture, or PNG/TIFF/PDF of your artwork to contests@adamscountyco.gov by Monday, Dec. 8. Note: For digital submissions, we may require you to send the packaged design files if your design is chosen.

Voting

After the entry period, there will be a short, public voting period. More information will be posted on our social channels.

Prizes

Multiple winners may be chosen, and all four designs will be used throughout the upcoming 2026 elections. Each winner will receive a swag bag of Adams County Elections items and will be invited to tour the facility during election season.
