Liquor Licensing
Licenses or permits for the sale of alcoholic beverages are required in unincorporated Adams County. Colorado liquor and beer retail licenses are issued by both county and state licensing authorities. All license or permit applications must be submitted to Adams County local licensing authority and given approval prior to filing with the State of Colorado Liquor Licensing Division.

Adams County currently allows recreational marijuana facilities only. This includes retail marijuana stores, retail cultivation facilities, marijuana infused product manufacturers (MIPS) and retail marijuana testing facilities. A cap is in place allowing only 17 marijuana establishments within unincorporated Adams County.

Please begin your process by talking with the Planning and Zoning Department to verify appropriate zoning regulations and the Building Department for your building or Change in Use Permit. Once you have satisfied those department requirements, you can speak with the Licensing Department to apply for your Local license. Contact the E-Permit Center for further details on those points of contact.
Liquor and Marijuana Licensing Authority Board (LMLAB)
Liquor and Marijuana Licensing Authority Board Meetings are held at 6 p.m. on the third Wednesday of each month (with exception) at the Adams County Government Center, 4430 South Adams County Parkway, Brighton, CO 80601
