Yard Waste Recycling Voucher Program

Adams County has partnered with A1 Organics to offer a Yard Waste Recycling Voucher Program for residents of unincorporated Adams County. Residents can request a single-use voucher to drop off their Yard Waste at the A1 Organics facility located in Commerce City at 9109 Monaco St. Each voucher covers up to $85 of the facility’s tipping fees. Two (2) single-use vouchers per household are allowed per year.

A1 Organics Fees:

  • Base Fee: $5
  • Organic Material: $16 per cubic yard
  • Sod material = $35 per cubic yard
  • Yard waste vouchers cover up to $85. You will be responsible for fee amount over $85.

Accepted Materials – Separated Organic Materials

  • Grass and leaves
  • Chipped wood
  • Tree limbs and branches
  • Clean lumber and sawdust
  • Sod ($35/cubic yard)
  • Logs and tree trunks*

*Logs accepted by the Rule of 8-ft and must not exceed eight feet in total.
e.g. 2-ft diameter + 6-ft length = 8-ft total

Not Accepted - Load Will Be Rejected

  • Mixed loads
  • Trash of any kind
  • Treated lumber
  • Painted, stained, or laminated lumber
  • Cardboard or paper
  • Plastic or sytrofoam
  • Drywall, metal, or glass
  • Bricks, concrete, or rocks
  • Sod and other organic materials
  • No tape or twine on compostable yard kraft bags

Instructions:

  1. Submit a voucher request, and your unique voucher will be sent via email in 3-5 days.
  2. Prepare your yard waste for drop off. See rules above for what is acceptable.
  3. Bring voucher to A1 Organics Commerce City facility, located at 9109 Monaco St., during business hours. Hours are Monday–Friday, 7 a.m.–4:30 p.m. and Saturday, 7 a.m.–1 p.m. Last load-in 30 minutes before closing. Closed on Sundays.
  4. Provide voucher to A1 Organics staff.
  5. Drop-off yard waste.
