Binding Arbitration

Binding Arbitration is an appeal option for taxpayers who do not agree with the Board of Equalization’s decision and who do not wish to appeal to the Board of Assessment Appeals or the Adams County District Court.

The cost for a residential arbitration appeal is $150. The cost for a commercial arbitration appeal begins at $250 and can vary based on the outcome of the hearing and the decision of the arbitrator. All decisions of the arbitrator are final and cannot be further appealed.

For more information, please review the Adams County Arbitration Rules and Procedures. Arbitration appeal hearings will be held at the Adams County Government Center or remotely via telephone conference line or Zoom.
