Adams County Partners with Other Agencies to Hold Electrify the Speedway

October 28th, 2025

Join representatives from Adams County for Electrify the Speedway, a fun and free community event to test your skills in an electric vehicle (EV), grab some amazing food, and win great prizes. Electrify the Speedway takes place from 11 a.m.–2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 1, at the Colorado National Speedway, 4281 Speedway Blvd., Dacono.

Electrify the Speedway is free for everyone, but you must be 18 years old or older and have a valid driver license to participate in the EV skills test. You can sign up to participate in the skills test at the event on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration is not required, but you can save the date using our Facebook Event or Eventbrite pages. The winner of the skills test receives a Yeti cooler, and there are other prizes, including gift cards for car washes and Starbucks. In addition, Mr. Birria will be onsite serving their delicious Sinaloa style of Mexican cuisine.

“This will be such a fun event where people who have never driven an EV before can take a test drive and start down the road to EV ownership,” said Lynn Baca, Chair of the Adams County Board of Commissioners. “EVs are better for the environment over the long haul, and with less money spent of gas and maintenance, you can also save money by choosing an EV.”

Adams County is co-hosting this event with the cities of Brighton, Northglenn, Westminster, and Louisville. Drive Clean Colorado will be providing the EVs.

For more information about the benefits of choosing an EV, visit the Sustainability section of the Adams County website.
