Adams County Commissioners to Host Aug. 25 Town Hall on Resident Concerns, Local Services

August 21st, 2025

The Adams County Board of Commissioners invites residents to attend a town hall on Monday, Aug. 25, from 6-7:30 p.m. at Anythink Library Huron Street, 9417 Huron St. in Thornton.

The event is designed to spark a two-way conversation between residents and county leadership, focusing on the questions, concerns, and ideas that matter most to the community. Attendees are encouraged to bring up topics important to them like roads and infrastructure, access to health and human services, safety and emergency response, economic development, housing, environmental quality, community connections, and more.

“This town hall is about meeting our residents where they are to have a real dialogue,” said Commissioner Lynn Baca, Chair of the Board of County Commissioners. “We want to hear directly from the people who live and work in this community. Your input helps guide our decisions.”

Residents can attend in person or join the conversation online via livestream. To RSVP, receive a calendar invite, or submit a question in advance, visit bit.ly/4l9CvRG.

“Whether it’s the condition of your roads, access to county services, or neighborhood safety, these are the kinds of day-to-day issues that deserve attention and real answers,” said Commissioner Julie Duran Mullica, Vice Chair of the Board of County Commissioners. “This town hall is your chance to speak directly to the people elected to listen and act. We’re here for that conversation.”

Space is limited, so advanced RSVP is highly encouraged. While in-person participation is encouraged, there will be a virtual livestream on YouTube for those who cannot attend. Those interested can sign up to receive a calendar reminder for the livestream. In addition, anyone can submit questions in advance of the event.
