Adams County Commissioners Award $800,000 in Community Enrichment Grants

The Adams County Board of County Commissioners (BoCC) today awarded $800,000 in Community Enrichment Grants to 21 nonprofit organizations serving Adams County residents. These grants support programs that address basic needs, stabilize households, and foster long-term community well-being.
“Partnering with and funding our nonprofit organizations allows us to extend our reach and respond to the community’s most pressing needs,” said Lynn Baca, Chair of the BoCC. “These collaborations magnify our impact, making sure essential programs and services are available to the residents who need them most. By investing in innovative initiatives and strengthening our nonprofit network, we’re giving these organizations the resources to do what they do best—creating meaningful change and improving the lives of families across Adams County.”
The Community Enrichment Grant Advisory Committee, made up of Adams County residents, reviews all applications and makes recommendations to the BoCC. This year’s committee included Andrew Worcester, Chistina Carpanzano, Karen Bigelow, Ken Ciancio, Stephanie Boyd, and Veronica Scoggins.
This year, Adams County introduced a three-tier funding model to ensure support for both essential direct services and broader, innovative community efforts:
• Community Stabilization & Basic Needs: Programs providing direct assistance to families and individuals facing urgent challenges.
• Regional & Systemic Impact Projects: Initiatives addressing larger, systemic challenges across our region.
• Innovation & Emerging Needs: New or pilot projects addressing recently identified needs or testing creative solutions.
