Gateway Mural at 58th Avenue

As part of the Adams County Public Works road-widening project along 58th Avenue, Letters for the Better, a new mural by artists Jolt and CoCo of Guerilla Garden, celebrates the rich history of graffiti in the surrounding neighborhood. The mural site is a nexus of transit that overlooks Riverside Cemetery, the National Western Complex, and the crisscrossing tracks of The Burlington Northern and Santa Fe Railroad, RTD, and The Union Pacific Railroad.

The artists worked with eight youth artists from the Keystone Leadership Program at the Suncor Boys & Girls Club for a six-week workshop series to design and install the mural. Letters for the Better spreads positivity into the community with words like “Familia”, “Unity”, and “Heritage” depicted in various styles of graffiti letter writing.

Letters for the Better is part of the Adams County Public Art Collection.
