Construction Wayfinding Grant

Adams County’s Economic Development Division is administering a pilot grant program, the Construction Wayfinding Grant, intended to assist businesses who are experiencing area construction and altered traffic patterns with customer wayfinding signage and support. The maximum grant amount per business is $2,500.

Primary access to the business property must be significantly affected by an Adams County Capital Improvement Project (CIP), including ongoing or planned construction, that affects customer access to the establishment. In addition to the above, the business must also:

  • Have a storefront or showroom (in-person customer traffic) and can describe how construction and/or changing traffic patterns has affected their customer base in finding their business
  • Be registered and in good standing with the Colorado Secretary of State
  • Have no open code violations and abides with Adams County Development Standards and Regulations
  • Be current with property tax payments, have no outstanding judgments against the business from Adams County, and have no payment plan in place with Adams County
  • Have 100 or fewer employees
  • Have been in operation at the business address for twelve consecutive months or longer as of the date of application

Notes regarding eligibility:

  • For CIP projects, the Public Works CIP map will be used to verify eligibility.
  • This program does not include Public Works projects that are part of the Preventive Maintenance Program or Routine Maintenance Program. Stormwater Utility Projects are also not part of this program, however could be considered if recommended by Public Works on a case by case basis depending on extent and duration of improvements.

Use of Grant Funds

Funds may be used for the following:

  • Marketing, advertising, or additional communications to customers
