Angel Ruiz Named Adams County Employee of ALL Seasons

September 10th, 2025

The Adams County Board of Commissioners announced Angel Ruiz as Employee of ALL Seasons at the annual Employee Recognition Luncheon held on Wednesday, Sept. 10.

Angel began her career with Adams County in January 2013 as a Case Services Aide IV in the Human Services Department. She also served as a Case Services Aide V from September 2014 through February 2018, a Social Caseworker III from February 2018 through January 2019, and then back to a Case Services Aide V, where she continues to serve in this role today. As part of the county’s recognition program, Angel was nominated and chosen as the 2024 Summer Employee of the Season winner in the Success in Practice category, which honors individuals for playing an integral role in successful interventions, problem resolution, and improvement with a customer or process of Adams County.

Angel’s nomination read: “Angel has been working with a client for the past year and successfully helped the mother reunite with her children. Angel has been providing life skills parenting sessions with the mother. Angel makes sure that when the mother’s UAs come up, she picks up the client and takes her to get the UAs due to lack of transportation and lack of bus system in the client’s living area. Angel is in contact with the client several times a week, checking on her and the status of her case. Angel presents herself professionally, and the hard work that Angel has put in to help her client practice life skills has helped make the client successful. The client now has her children at home, and without the guidance of Angel, it would not have happened so smoothly. Angel is an example of Success in Practice by her remarkable dedication to working with clients and families.”

“Angel is so deserving of this award this year, and I’d also like to acknowledge all the other amazing employees who were honored as Employee of the Season winners in 2024,” said Lynn Baca, Chair of the Board of Commissioners. “And Adams County has hundreds of employees who are all doing incredible workday in and day out to serve our residents. Thank you to each one of you for choosing to dedicate your professional lives to serving your community.”

Angel is a devoted, talented, and exceptional Adams County employee. She was acknowledged for her hard work, dedication, and commitment to our county and its residents.

Adams County currently has approximately 2,900 employees who serve the county’s more than 540,000 residents. To become Employee of ALL Seasons, employees are nominated and voted on by their coworkers, the Recognition Committee, and Adams County residents.

The Employee Recognition Luncheon is an annual event to recognize employees who have reached a milestone year of service with the county, employees with over 20 years of service, employees identified as Wellness Champions, and the Employee of the Season award recipients.
